Job Summary:

 

To provide a lead role in management, upkeep, safety and security of all AHF owned structures, furnishings and other assets, including grounds. To provide basic maintenance and vendor coordination.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all structures, grounds, facilities, and furnishings are managed and maintained to the highest standards for safety and security.
  • Establishes and carries out preventative maintenance procedures to ensure adequate upkeep and minimize risk.
  • Prepares and carries out regular building and equipment maintenance schedules; prepares written reports and immediately highlights potential risks to the management.
  • Maintains accurate maintenance and repair logs, including blueprints, engineer reports, notes, and photos.
  • Responsible for appropriate asset management, storage, and tracking of furnishings (including tools and equipment); maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all such assets.
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers for building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and cleaning services conforms to the required standards.
  • Monitor and restock supplies such as office consumables, toiletries, and first aid items.
  • Support event setups, meetings, and other ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Directly manages the grounds and cleaning teams in close collaboration Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support special projects.
  • Coordinating general stores operations including, receiving, storage, issuing and record management.
  • Maintaining accurate recording and tracking of all stock items through the delivery notes, stock requests and issue reports by processing all issues and receiptss.
  • Ensuring security of all materials stored in store and enforce access control limited to only authorized personnel.
  • Ensuring accurate and thorough physical counting of stocks during stock taking and speedy variance explanation.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Grounds and cleaning teams.

 

 Qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • Diploma in electrical, mechanical civil engineering or construction related fields
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
  • 5+ years’ experience in facility management.
  • Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and facility management systems is an advantage.
  • Well-developed and mature professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with partners and colleagues at all organizational level.
  • Ability to review the work of others and provide feedback to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion when making independent decisions.
